1. Amazing sunrises
Either you are an early bird or a party creature, don’t miss out the sunrise in Burgas. The Black Sea horrizon stretches on the east, making a spectacular stage set for the sun to rise.
2. Wide golden beaches
Burgas beach are wide and sand is soft. You will never get those uncomfortable rocks or the crowds from the Mediterranean shores.
3. The pier, a 300m long bridge over the sea
It is an amazing pier that streches over the sea making it a lovely spot to do some yoga stretches, jog or watch the sea with the beloved one.
4. Parks & natural reserves
Burgas has a lot of green parks. The Sea Park is my favourite. Situated by the beach, it is full of old trees and sculptures. In the outskirts of the town you will find a vast space of lakes and natural reserves.
5. Bird watching
Incredibly, one of the largest air ‘highways’ for seasonal migration of birds in Europe is passing over Burgas. This is a paradise for bird watching aficionados in early spring or late autumn.
6. Variety of water
Salted sea, fresh lake waters, thermal mineral springs were enjoyed by Roman Emperor Trajan, Byzantine emperors Justinian and Constantine, the Bulgarian Khan Tervel or Ottoman Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent
7. Rejuvenate in the free outdoor spa center
in the southern part of Atanasovsko Lake where healing mud and lye pools are free all year
8. Strandzha Mountain
This mountain hosts the largest Bulgarian nature park and is easily reachable by car
9. Saint Anastasia Island
A tiny island where you can get to by boat
